Altar Society: The Altar Society cleans the church regularly and sees to the care and upkeep of the altar linens, sacred vessels, vestments, and other such items. Meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Church cleaning is normally on Saturday mornings at 9:00am. Catholic Daughters of America: The Catholic Daughters of America Supports the works of the Church in a variety of ways, especially by promoting faith, family and prayer; by contributing to the support of retired religious brothers and sisters; any by opposing such societal evils such as pornography. The local court hosts a Valentine’s Day Dance every year. Meetings are on the 1st Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall.
Prison Ministry: The parish’ prison ministry group visits local prisons in an attempt to bring prisoners closer to Christ. “…I was in prison and you visited me…” (Matthew 25:36). The Prison Ministry Group members also support St. Joseph’s School by running the concessions stand during the Loteria. Pro-Life Committee: The Parish’s Pro-Life Committee works with the pastor to promote the parish’s involvement in defending human life. Recently, the committee spearheaded the postcard campaign against the Freedom of Choice Acts and organized a Life Chain on Respect Life Sunday. .
